Summer is in full swing

Summer Updates from The Atlantic Inn

Summer has been one for the books here at The Atlantic Inn, and we wanted to take a moment to share everything that’s been happening behind the scenes.

Our Concert Series Keeps Growing

What started as an idea to bring more entertainment to Hatteras Village has quickly turned into something much bigger than we imagined. Our concert series has been an incredible success, featuring a variety of talented artists and bringing together both visitors and locals for unforgettable summer evenings.

The support from our community and guests has been overwhelming, and because of that, we’re excited to continue the series throughout the fall. One of our favorite perks? Our overnight guests always enjoy complimentary admission to our events, making your stay even more memorable.

A New Stage Takes Center Stage

Stage

One of our biggest projects this summer has been completing our brand-new outdoor stage. Not only will it provide an amazing performance space for our musicians, but it will also become a gathering place for so much more.

During the day, it offers a shaded retreat for guests to relax and unwind. We’re also looking forward to hosting future morning yoga sessions, intimate micro-weddings, and other special events that bring people together in this beautiful space.

Evenings Around the Fire

Firepit

Another exciting addition was completing our new firepit patio in early June. It’s already become one of our favorite spots around the inn, and we can’t wait for cooler evenings later this summer when guests can gather around the fire roasting s’mores, sharing stories, and making new memories.

Innkeepers update

Katie and Mitch at Stanley Cup Final

Our innkeepers, Katie and Mitch, have been keeping busy both in and out of the kitchen. Guests continue to rave about their homemade breakfasts and warm hospitality, but they recently took a well-deserved break.

As many of you know, Mitch is a huge Carolina Hurricanes fan, and he and Katie were able to spend a couple of days in Raleigh attending the Stanley Cup Final at Lenovo Center. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience they’ll never forget—and they returned with plenty of stories to share.

Mitch's parents were in town over the July 4th week. They joined Katie and Mitch during the Hatteras Village 4th of July Golf cart parade that is a annual tradition. We threw out shirts and bubble for the kids. Needless to say, we are already looking forward to the Christmas parade in December!

A Familiar Face Returns and Grateful for an Incredible Team

Lex is home for the summer from SCAD and has been jumping right into life at the inn. From helping with our events to lending a hand wherever needed, she’s brought so much energy and enthusiasm to the property. It’s been wonderful having her back and seeing guests get to know another member of our family.

One thing we’ve learned over the past year is that a great inn is built by great people.

We feel incredibly lucky to have such an amazing team. Everyone has come together with one common goal: creating an unforgettable experience for every guest who walks through our doors. Whether it’s preparing breakfast before sunrise, helping at events, keeping rooms spotless, or simply sharing a smile, every member of our crew plays an important role.

One Year Already?

Jason and I have stayed busy juggling reservations, marketing, projects, and of course helping with our growing lineup of events. It’s hard to believe that next month marks one full year since we purchased The Atlantic Inn.

It’s been a whirlwind of renovations, new ideas, long days, unexpected challenges, and unforgettable moments. There have been plenty of late nights and early mornings, but seeing guests fall in love with this historic inn makes every bit of it worthwhile.

Owning The Atlantic Inn has truly been one of the greatest adventures of our lives, and while it’s been a wild ride, we wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Thank you to everyone who has stayed with us, attended an event, shared a kind word, or simply followed along on our journey. Your support means more than you know.

We can’t wait to see what the fall brings, and we hope you’ll be a part of it.
