The Atlantic Inn
EST. 2021
Constructed in 1928 by entrepreneur Ellsworth Burrus, the Atlantic Inn is the oldest standing hotel in the Outer Banks. At that time, the inn primarily welcomed fisherman and duck hunters, Before the Oregon Inlet bridge was constructed, local aviator Dave Driskill would fly guests to the inn. Over the years, the Atlantic Inn has withstood many hurricanes and Nor’Easters. The only substantial damage recorded occurred during Hurricane Isabel in 2003. The inn was later raised in 2006. Since 1928, numerous families have called the Atlantic Inn home, serving guests and the community as innkeepers. The inn was most recently purchased in August 2025 by the Andrzejewski family
